In Jest 04:09
I think I might be sick Yeah I do - I'm coughing baby Or maybe I'm just tired Hit the snooze I yawn too often baby I think I might be dead I don't know - let me check the coffin baby Or maybe I'm just bored A bored stiff - take a whiff of the carcass baby I feel like a creep Like a fiend that never sleeps The birds are just waking I wonder what kind of pills they're taking To get a good nights rest Something said in jest I wonder what kind of risk I'm taking I think I might be god I can hold lightning rods - I'm awesome baby Or maybe I'm just man So confused Of the land - exhausted baby

I hit a bird on the highway with my car I got sick to my stomach as it fell unto the tar I couldn't help thinking in a way we've got things wrong I got sick to my stomach I was nervous all night long I shot a bird on the river with a gun I got sick to my stomach as it's blood began to run I couldn't help thinking it had sang it's final song I got sick to my stomach I was nervous all night long

I value my curses They live under glass, when I feed them the feeling disperses I show them to my guests They peer through a slit to a shelf in the pit of my chest And I'm counting my blessings They're pressed in a book between flowers and holiday dressings I show them to my kin They flip through the pages but don't understand where I've been I'm aware of my errs/heirs They appear in my dreams which then quickly become nightmares I show them to myself on the back of my eyelids I'm sure it's no good for my health My karma is my religion You've got a cross, what does it mean to you? You dharma is your decision But when you're lost what does it do for you?

Bless your soul, you tried But the ship you're on has died You are stranded out in space Kiss your cat goodbye Wipe the tear from it's third eye You've abandoned his sweet face Bless your heart - it froze There are crystals on your clothes There is frost bite on your nose A mother watching prays As you float on gamma rays You're approaching a black hole And what's left to say? Just command your fleet to open the southern bay Salute and you nod You were miles from home Now you're one step closer to God Isn't it sweet to feel incomplete? It's odd and discreet It makes you question everything

A Cabal 03:19
You've got that look of a worm on a hook And you have the heart of a car that won't start It takes twenty five minutes to get there Twenty five minutes ago you should have left home Everyone's already gone Their party was fun They did things without you There were streamers all over the yard The party was hard They were talking about you as if you're already practically dead And maybe you are if that's what they said You see... They're here to enlighten you A cabal - it should frighten you You've got the swag of a brown paper bag And you've got the charm of a burn on the arm It took twenty five seconds to get there Twenty five seconds ago you should have let go
